Union with God in a Busy Season

“But the one who joins himself to the Lord is mingled into one spirit with Him.” (TPT)

This scripture is speaking of union with God. This is a subject that many mystics and theologians in past centuries spent much time writing about and studying. I rarely hear of it spoken about in modern day conversations, but I believe it gives us freedom if we can grasp the meaning of truly being in union with Him.

I would like to invite you to explore going to a place of deeper trust with this Lover. He wants to actually think His thoughts in your mind, speak His words through your mouth, feel His emotions in your soul. The more time we spend in His presence, soaking in His very essence, we begin to connect on this deep level that is promised in this verse.

Jesus said, “I only do what I see my Father doing, and I only speak what I hear my Father saying.” (John 5:19) This close relationship is available to us...not only available but desired by Him! How He desires to share with you His insight, His wisdom, His point of view. All right inside you - in that secret place where you meet Him.

Being mingled into one spirit with him is the height of acceptance! Embrace the Lord's presence today, meet Him in that space where you can hear Him, speak with Him, rest in Him.

As you soak in His very presence, take some time to tell him your innermost thoughts or write them in a journal. Let's be mindful this season as we become closer and closer with Lover of our souls.
