Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone! Janice and I wanted to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving! Todays article is short, because I want you to be able to watch the resources I am recommending this week.

Just remember this as you approach Thanksgiving. The road to that happiness, despite circumstances is joy and joy is cultivated through two things: finding the grace of God in your life and returning thanks for it and this gem from Jesus Himself, John 16:23-24 (NKJV) "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."

Answers to prayer are sources of joy!

If you weren't able to be here, or missed my teaching from last week, I recommend you check it out. This last week was one of those foundational teachings of who we are as a spiritual family.

Here are two teachings, that will increase your capacity to pray, find joy and give thanks.

First, David Crabtree did a "Ted Talk" for the Bethel Leaders Network on grace. This will deepen your understanding on it. Sorry that we only have a link. Click here and you will be taken to the website to watch.

Second, a very sobering set of videos featuring a conversation between Dr. Heidi Baker and Dr. Randy Clark about the church in Mozambique, suffering and joy in that context. You will weep and it will hang over you for a bit, but it is a word for the American church, a good word. I would wait until after Thanksgiving to watch this one.

As always, we love you and pray you have a wonderful day celebrating Jesus and all He has done for you this year. Let's give thanks!
