I am God's Workmanship

“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are jointed to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” Ephesians 2:10 (TPT)

What a lovely thought - we have become his poetry! A divine work of art!

I love to listen to poetry being read aloud. Something always comes over the reader - a hush, a reverence. It’s usually quiet, thoughtful, but the air is filled with anticipation to see how the poem will turn out. (Let’s be honest - I am always hoping I will understand the point by the time the poem ends! :)

Imagine Jesus looking at you, and writing your life as a meaningful poem. One that touches others, that brings light and meaning to all around, that encourages, loves, and wraps the listener in a blanket of peace.

A poem that has deep meaning, rhythm and rhyme, and even moments of humor. This living poem, you, has a purpose … a dream, a calling, a reason to be written and read by many. The all-knowing Author of this poem is not only writing the lines and phrases, but designing the destiny, the journey, and the outcome- all in His perfect timing and harmonious meter. He lovingly places what may feel like disjointed and sorrowful words into a glorious work of art that brings healing.

Your poem is unique. It may have a few phrases or words that are in another’s poem, but this just brings us together with enough in common to appreciate and understand each other’s life. But your poem is written like no other. When He has finished writing it, and then reading it, all who hear will be impacted with the love of the Author. Let us never feel insignificant, or pass over such delightful creations of verse.
